Kashin Alkadim, hero of the photo-winner of International Photo Contest visited RPC office

Vladimir Lukin, President of the Paralympic Committee of Russia; RPC Vice President, 3-time Paralympic Games Champion Olga Semenova; Paralympic Champions in football 7-a-side Zaurbek Pagayev, Andrei Lozhechnikov, World Champions football 7-a-side George Albegov, World Champion in Amputee Football, Pavel Kondratenko, Head Coach of the Russian National Amputee Football Team Sergey Lisitsyn, in the RPC office, met with the Iraqi boy Kasim Alkadim, the hero of the picture that won the prize of the photo contest named after Andrei Stenin, held a Paralympic football lesson for him.

The hero of the picture "The desire to live", won gold at the International Competition named after Andrei Stenin, an Iraqi boy Kasim Alkadim flew to Moscow. Thanks to the author of the photo, his compatriot Taysir Mahdi, about the young footballer who lost his leg, who fights in the home battles along with his peers, have been recognized all over the world. His cheerfulness, dedication and perseverance in overcoming difficulties could not help but touch and caused a desire to help. The organizer of the Andrey Stenin contest, the Russia Today, invited Kasim to come to the Russian capital on the eve of his birthday.

RPC leaders and famous Paralympic athletes showed the young visitor the Paralympic Sports Museum, told about the history of the formation and development of the Paralympic movement, about the sports included in the Paralympic Summer and Winter Games, about medals won by Russian athletes, etc.

Later, the athletes held a Paralympic football lesson for Kashim, during which a friendly match was held between all participants in the meeting. According to the results of the 20-minute half, the final score was 2-2, the young guest scored 2 goals against his opponent. The athletes presented the boy a football with the autographs of all participants to the boy as a memory of event, and the leaders of the RPC presented a souvenir - an outfit for the Russian Paralympic team.

Kasim thanked the athletes and wished to return to Russia again to meet with representatives of the Russian Paralympic movement, and also said that he also wants to play sports and achieve high results.

The meeting was attended by the author of the picture Taysir Al-Masoudi, father of the boy Mohamed Al-Kadim, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
